Blank window pops up, then disappears ...

System: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS (x86_64; Unity)

Using one window, every 10-15 minutes or so a small blank "pop-up" window opens - is totally blank with no webaddress - then closes after 1-2 seconds.

haven't made any changes. Standard UFW firewall, no intrusions. Ubuntu is A-Okay.

Try to uncheck "Use hardware acceleration when available" .
