Permission 'permissions' warning

  • I have an extension which uses 'chrome.permissions' API.
When I upload my extension to opera-store, I get the warning "JavaScript file contains forbidden calls. Missing permissions: permissions".
After adding permission "permissions" in manifest uploading began to pass without warning.
But then I get an error during loading (unpacked) extension in browser: "Permission 'permissions' is unknown or URL pattern is malformed."
    Is this intended behavior?

  • Hi!

Sorry for this. If the browser doesn't accept that permission definition then just don't add it and ignore the warning.

I will file issue report with this problem.

  • Great thanks!

Then we will delete this permission from our extensions.

Will we any way be able to track for this problem issue?

  • Sorry, but no. If this is me reporting the problem, you won't get any notification.

You get notified via email when you report the problem via bug submission system https://bugs.opera.com/wizard/.

I've included your description of the issue.

  • Ok.
It's a pity that we can't track this issue, but thanks anyway.
