Whats this with The VPN

Read all these articles about Opera making this big investment by adding a VPN, so I gave it a try and after less then a days normal use I hear voice that says 1/4 of my storage is used up. Did I sign up for the wrong VPN or is there a problem or does it only give you a VPN (surfeasy)free for a couple of days.

Hi @jbander, in the Opera stable 39, the VPN feature you're looking for is disabled by default, you don't have to register to be able to use it, it seems, that you signed up for to the limited Surfeasy VPN.

Go to opera:flags#browser-vpn, select "Enabled" from the drop-down, and press "Relaunch Now", then go to Settings > Privacy & security > VPN, and select the checkbox to the left of "Enable VPN".

Please be aware, that this feature is still under development, so you can experience some issues, when using it.

I'm finding the inbuilt VPN very useful. It should be particularly good for countries where browsing access is restricted.
