Disable search

After upgrading to 38.0.2220.41 I can no longer remove the search bar from the start page. Is this a removed feature or a bug? I prefer a clean start page with nothing but speed dial.

Hi @obctaiwan, go to Settings > Browser > Advanced settings, and make sure, that you have selected the checkbox on the left of "Show advanced settings", then go to Speed Dial, click on "Customize start page" in the top right corner (cogwheel icon), and untick the checkbox to the left of "Search box".
