Opera VPN for IOS will not turn off

If I try to toggle the VPN switch in settings it flips it back and instantly starts connecting again. I turned on Airplane Mode and it turns off VPN as long as I don't reconnect. I also did a hard restart and made sure all apps were off. I might be reduced to deleting it even though it works well (a little too well).
