Only close button in top right

When an Opera window in maximized there's only a close button in the top right corner, instead of the usual three buttons.
Chromium has all the standard buttons using the standard window top bar. I like how Opera is not wasting that space and puts tabs to the top of the screen. Could I somehow get a combination of the best of both?

I'm using Opera Beta on Xubuntu.
