  • On my system I have seven desktops set up. Coming from Firefox (FF), to open a new window of FF one method is to go to my panel and click the FF icon. Regardless of which desktop I'm on or however many other FF are already open, I will get a new window of FF on which ever desktop is active.

With Opera, clicking the Opera panel icon opens a new tab (at Speed Dial) on an already open Opera. If there is no Opera window on any desktop a new Opera window will be opened. If, however, I am at an Opera window and do a Ctrl+N, I will get that new Opera window. I then Alt+Ctrl+Shift+arrow to move the new Opera to the desired desktop.

How can I make it be that Opera will open an entirely new window of Opera on my currently active desktop?
