Opera with --new-window opens two windows.

  • So when I launch my browser, I always want it to open a new window. I don't like tabs. Never have, never will.

I finally found the command line option for launching opera in a new window: "--new-window". But when I use that, it opens TWO new windows, not one. Only if I already have a running instance of opera will only one window open. If I don't have opera open, the first time I launch it TWO windows always opens.

I understand this is not a life-threatening bug, but it is very annoying. Does anyone know either (1) how to make this behavior stop so that only one window opens, or (2) a different way to make opera launch in a new instance every time I click the icon?

  • Any ideas?

  • Bump. Am I alone with this issue?
