Hide open tabs in tab menu

I would like to have an option to hide/disable open tabs in the tab menu, i.e. to only have recently closed tabs there (like in Opera 12). One reason for this is because several users use tab menus in the sidebar, which makes "open tabs" in the tab menu unnecessary.

Please dont disable tabs list and add few more of those because we need tabs list everywhere because we are so blind that we cant see it! Tabs list above adress bar, tabs list button and tabs list in tabs menu at speed dial... there should be tabs list in every tab maybe then it will be enough.

@gustavwiz How can it be usefull? Whats the point of extra tabs menu if you see all tabs all the time?

If you have many tabs open, it can be better with a vertical menu. But as we now have good sidebar extensions with vertical tabs, I think they solve the problem better, although I think tab menu is a nice, easy, native alternative. Therefore I want an option to disable open tabs in tab menu.

I consider myself as power user but I never had issue with that... even with 50 tabs+. Is there even one user that really think that feature is usefull and really using it? Using it once a year doesnt count... Regular users have 1 maybe 2 tabs so why do we need that feature... Dont forget that Opera is targeting on regular users only!
