Some of my computers have coloured icond on the speed dial page, and shows the URL of the link. Other computers show a snapshot of the site itself. How can I change this behaviour?

Disclaimer: I'm not familiar with the *Nix variant of Opera because I only use it on Windows. Having said that I'm simply sharing how I'd do this on Windows and hoep that it applies to your environment as well.

To my knowledge Opera will use an educated guess whenever you add a website to your bookmarks. Usually a snapshot is made, but Opera deems that it can't really make one it resorts to other options, such as only an URL. This can be easily changed by manually updating the icon:

        • Open the Speed Dial & click on the site / icon which you want to change.
        • You're now taken to the website; notice that the heart icon behind the address bar should 'light up'.
        • Click the heart icon, you should now see the icon used in Speed Dial as well as an indicator which tells you that the bookmark is used in the Speed Dial section.
        • Now simply use the arrows at the bottom of the image to select something different. So basically: change the icon to whatever you desire.

        This change should be instant.

        Hope this helps.
