Mine is just a small recommendation. I would like to be able to turn off the big google search bar at top. I dont use it and it takes up real estate. Other than that, I like everyrhing so far.

It can be switched off from settings. Option will appear after activating "power user settings"
Here is how..
- Go to settings
- Click in space area
- Hit the following keys:Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A

It should be shown by default but I'm sure they have their reasons hiding it. by the way it is called konami code.
And what is it that you hate so much about the new Opera?

Opera was my favourite browser more than 10 year and they abandon it and now its some kind of Opera alfa version without all great features thats why. I dont see any reason to hide that options... whats the reason?

They were not going anywhere with that old engine, it was so hard for them to keep up with the rest. 12 was and will always be my favorite and looking forward to see this one come close to that. It happens that I hate extensions too and want something that is built in, but don't think it is that easy. They do read this forum and working to bring old features. Get the latest Developer version.

They do not read this forum because if they do they will make Opera more like the old one. No thanks I dont want developer version becuase its the same as stable but with more bugs...
