is there a way to update already existing extension with hardcoded ID?
I need it for communication with other extension, and in the time of publishing.....well, I wasn't thinking -

so what would be solution in your opinion?
to remove extension completely and upload new (upgraded one) or... find the way to target extension for internal messaging (by name, version...somehow if possible) -

I just realized, ID for Opera extensions are already hardcoded. We upload packaged file, and there is application ID on developer dashboard.
Can I rely on that ID for messaging?
eg. it's permanent for all installations, OS's, future updates... -

The app ID of the extension, once generated, will never change. Does this clarify your "I have to delete it, because I can't do some necessary fixes"-post in a different thread?

yes
If I can use this ID for messaging then I don't need to mess with removing my Zoom popup and uploading it again.
