Hi, Opera users. A few days ago, I started having an issue where my mouse cursor would disappear when hovering over changeable text, like in Google Docs. I don't believe this is an issue with my pointer settings, as I've looked through the forums and tried solutions in posts related to the one I'm making right now. This issue only occurs on my laptop and not on my home PC. It is a struggle when trying to do schoolwork, as I have to guess where my mouse cursor is when trying to type in a document. If anyone has a solution, that would be great. Thank you

I wasn't able to reproduce the exact issue in Opera GX 138.0.6044.65 64-bit on Windows 11. However, Opera was showing the wrong cursor over editable text. With 139.0.6053.42, the correct cursor is showing.

So, I would upgrade if you haven't and if that doesn't fix it, try things in a test standalone installation to test if it happens there too or not.

@burnout426 Hi there! Thank you for your reply. I attempted the standalone installation and unfortunately it did not solve my solution.

@Kolten Any difference with graphics acceleration off at the URL opera://settings/system?

@burnout426 Just tried doing that and it works! Unfortunately, graphics acceleration was causing the issue; I loved Opera GX's smooth animations. Thank you for being so helpful!
