Persistent Media Player – Option to Pin to Toolbar

Hey Opera team,
I love having a built-in media player in the browser, but the current behavior makes it a bit frustrating to use long-term. Every time I restart Opera, I have to go through a whole process just to get it back on the toolbar:- Open the media player from the sidebar
- Start playback
- Close the player window
- Hover over the floating player
- Click on options
- Select "Pin to toolbar" – again
That’s quite a few unnecessary steps for something that could be persistent. It would be much more user-friendly if there were an option to permanently pin the media player to the toolbar, keeping it available across browser sessions with the same functionality as the sidebar icon.
Would love to see this improvement—it would make the experience much smoother! Any chance this could be considered?
Cheers,

@MrTeatime I don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for, but I believe there is a way to have the persistent media player. When you open the media player tab, you'll see the options at the toolbar. There's one that's a rectangle docked to a square, and when hovered on, it says 'pin to toolbar'.

Selecting that will dock the player to your toolbar, and I've had it up for a couple days now. Admittedly, I haven't closed Opera since I attached it, but I have stopped and started listening to music over the course of several different sessions.
I hope that this helps!
