Problem with FlashPlayer on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (i386) and Opera 12.16

Hi all Ubuntu users,
I have a huge problem watching any streaming transmissions. After a while flashlib takes all processing resources, audio stops to be correlated with video, the stattering with audi happens. With a flow of a time (in minutes) it gets worse so after about 20 minutes, sometimes even less, all that I can do is to power off my laptop because it happens to be unresponsive. I don't know whether the fault lies on the Opera or Ubuntu side. Does anyone has or have had this problem before and knows solution? Any help would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Paulo -

i'm having the same problem with xubuntu. was using their opensource flash stuff and have tried adobes ... but problem still occurs. i don't notice it in firefox or chromium however (though i don't use them as much), so i think its an opera thing. the adobe plugin is no longer supported for opera, though. if you're using the open source one, you can get adobes in the software centre: its called `restricted extras'.

Opera 12 is broken on linux, especially the flash plugin implementation. Just too slow and too buggy. Watch out though, they're going to make you believe that's a problem with your hardware, software, Adobe, Bill Gates and freemasonry.

Check to see you have the current Flash player you can use http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
