Hello, happy new year! I want to know whether is plan to release an update of the Opera browser for Linux. Many interesting extensions require version 16+, when today only is 12-th version. Thank you.

Turning off the address popup? How to do this in Opera for Linux. Wheneeve I hover over a link with my cursor, about a second passes and the complete address appears in a popup that obscures the information on the screen below it. I find this very disconcerting and want to turn it off. Does anyone know how to do this? I have used Opera for Linux on my desktop and that did not happen, so it seems that some setting is different, but I could locate it.

You are actually hijacking this topic, as your question/problem has nothing to do with this topics subject, other than the fact that Linux is mentioned. You should really have posted your own topic.
But seeing as you are already here, go to 'O Menu / Settings / Preferences... / Advanced / Browsing' and remove the tick from 'Show tooltips' on the right had side and click 'Ok'.
Things should be back to normal when hovering links with your mouse pointer now.
