I have the YouTube Downloader extension installed, which until a few days ago was working fine. Now when I want to download a file I get a message saying An error occurred: We are sorry. This video can not be converted. Please try another link.
I tried another link and got the same message. It works fine on some videos but not others such as this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKX_tybq3Xk. Is anyone else have problems downloading from YouTube.

There is an advice for you. All apps, software and browsers that allow downloads on YouTube are illegal for violating the youtube guidelines. But they can still be used safely. You try to use the youtube downloader, I think that's the best app for you. A link is available: [EDITED: External links are not allowed]

ISn't there any ext anymore in Addons that can DL mp3 and mp4? Huh..
All this while Utube is bringing "offline" version at least in the developing areas. -

@david-collins They (O & Google) purged many of those ext's some time ago, few years.
You can still get those ext's but not from O nor Google.I recommend this tool so that u can - if u will - check the code: https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/extension-source-viewer/

Yup, I wouldn't expect these DL extensions to keep working. IDK what Opera's policy is, but Firefox is very strict now in banning such add-ons, and as for Chrome, forget it.
The best solutions I know of is to use a compatible Firefox fork, or a standalone program. I think standalone programs work best now, but they are getting busted too. Lucky for me, the one I use is not on a ban list yet.. TIP: Check out TorrentFreak for the latest news about this, and check the comments, you just might get lucky too.
Beyond that, don't ask me, I'm just watching the paint dry.
