Translate web page the same way Chrome does it

Hey all!

I recently switched from Chrome to Opera because of a recommendation from a friend. Honestly I thought that I would NEVER switch browser since I really like Chrome. Anyhow, Opera took me by storm and is now my main browser. I LOVE it.

Anyhow, there is just one thing that I'd like to fix, with an extension or something. Don't think I haven't tried any, I tried basically all translation extensions there are. Not a SINGLE ONE translates the web page the same way Chrome does.
Maybe I should explain how Chrome does it first for you guys who don't know how it works. It's really simple, let's say you enter a Russian site with Russian Cyrillic script, you just right-click anywhere on the page and choose "Translate to English" and EVERYTHING on the site is being translated. Even drop-down menus, buttons and so on.

Back to the translation extensions for Opera. Either they open a popup which you have to copy the text into and translate (which in my opinion feels rather useless since you can just go to Google Translate for example), or they open a new tab which isn't keeping me logged in and I can't log in since the URL becomes (I'm just taking an example): https://translate.google.com/translate?prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=https://rutracker.org/forum/tracker.php?nm=Goa Trance&sl=auto&tl=en
This is basically on https://translate.google.com which I assume is why I'm getting logged out. If I try to log in I'm just redirected to a completely blank page.

SO, to the main point, is there an extension (or maybe an option in the settings) which lets you translate a full page (without opening a new tab or popup)?

I hope I presented enough information for you to undertanda what I mean. I'm eagerly awaiting your response, if I can get this, Opera is definitely my go-to browser, well, it already is but I'm using this Translate to English function quote often and without it I would have to open Chrome once in a while but I prefer to just have only one browser.

It seems is not possible.

I've tested in current GTranslate extension and remains the same, shows the sites as visitor.

@zalex108 That's really too bad because I'm starting to fall for Opera. I'm currently using Opera for everything except those two Russian websites where I need to translate the pages to English. So I will definitely continue to use Opera as my main browser. Never thought the day would come where I would ditch Chrome

Anyhow, now I just need to find the setting where I can use Tab to search on a website straight from the address field instead of just using space, which might actually be better but then I have to re-learn myself to do that since I'm so used to use Tab from Chrome. Oh well, it's such small issues it doesn't matter, point is that I will continue to use Opera as my main browser. And if any developer is reading this; a function to translate full pages without opening a new tab with the translated page would be much appreciated. Not only by me because I'm certain it would be appreciated by a lot of your users. Right-click on the webpage, choose Translate to English (or whatever language you're using) and the page translates, buttons and everything.

In Chrome, I was always using the function where you can search straight on a website through the address field/URL field. All you have to do in Chrome for it to work is to go to the website, let's take IMDb for example, search for a movie and Chrome automatically added that search engine to itself without you even noticing it. Then the next time you want to search for a movie all you have to do is, in the address field write imdb and press Tab and then search for the movie, press enter and Chrome automatically search on IMDb for you.

It works in Opera as well but you have to manually add the website by right-clicking the search field on the website you want to add and choose "Create search engine..." and choose a Keyword (for IMDb the default was just a single 'i', but I chose imdb).
Then let's say you need to find out who played the Bond girl in GoldenEye you write either 'i' or 'imdb' as in my case and press Space and you are ready to search directly on IMDb without having to enter the page first. In other words you write imdb, press Space and write Goldeneye and press enter.

I hope you understand what I mean, I haven't slept very well the last couple of days and English isn't my native language. The best thing would be for you to try it out yourself. You can take IMDb.com as an example since it's such an easy site. I recommend choosing 'imdb' and not just a single letter since that could mess things up in the future.

Enter imdb.com
Right-click the search field and choose "Create search engine..."
Name it whatever, I just keep it what it is since it doesn't matter at all. Choose a Keyword, this is where I recommend imdb. Press Create
Close the website, open a new tab/window and write imdb in Operas address-field, press Space and write your favorite movie followed by enter and voila! Opera just searched on IMDb for you.

I probably overdid that didn't I? Oh well... sorry. But what I want is to change the Space to Tab. It's no real biggie but since I'm used to using Tab for this purpose (at least like 8 years if my estimation is correct) it will be really hard to try and remember to use Space each time instead.

As you told, in opera it's much more tedious comparatively.
If would be developed to work on Opera, that will be a very good addition.

You can post it on the "Requests and Suggestions" subforum to let them know.

Meanwhile, you will have to add the search engines.
