Version: 46.0.2597.32 - Opera is up to date
      Update stream: Stable
      System: Arch Linux (x86_64; Unknown)

      URL: http://nsidc.org/arcticseaicenews/charctic-interactive-sea-ice-graph/

If you click on a date point on one of the plotted lines you should get a popup showing an image for that date. This used to work until a recent Opera update.

Instead, I get a popup that says "Image unavailable on this browser".

Same thing here (debian testing x64, opera-stable 46.0.2597.32), however it also happens on chromium (59.0.3071.104) and on firefox (52.2.0 esr) as well, so I assume it may be some (shared) image library that they all use and does not work properly.

The underlying images have timestamped URLS like this:

          ftp://sidads.colorado.edu/pub/DATASETS/nsidc0081_nrt_nasateam_seaice/browse/north/nt_20170701_f18_nrt_n.png

and they can be displayed correctly in 'feh', directly from the url.

ftp url above is mangled; many missing underscores; changed by moderator maybe. Conclude nothing from the fact that it doesn't work.

I think this is the problem:

[Deprecation] Subresource requests using legacy protocols (like `ftp:`) are are blocked. Please deliver web-
accessible resources over modern protocols like HTTPS. See
              https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5709390967472128 for details.

              ... seen in the console.
