RE: 97.0.4719.28 Extensions issues (M1 Ventura)Opera for Mac
Opera 97.0.4719.28 MacOS Ventura 13.2.1 (M1)
I first noticed with this update that the Print function didn't work from a web page in Opera. The only way to make it work was to select Print Using System Dialog from the Print panel. Not very user-friendly. I did check with Chrome and Safari and they both worked fine.
Then I noticed that Bitwarden would not auto-fill. I could log in and find items in the vault, but it would not auto-fill. Once again, tested in Safari and Chrome and it worked fine.
I noticed other problems, notably Tab Suspender had stopped suspending tabs and Printlimator completely stopped working.
I did disable and re-enable extensions. I removed Bitwarden and reinstalled. No change.
So I installed an older version - 96.0.4693.31 - which is working fine. All of the above problems are gone. However, it could not open any of the existing tabs and I had to launch a new browser window and cut and paste each tab, a bit of a pain as I usually have at least 30 open and being used.
My biggest concern is that Opera will update the next time I have to reboot and I want to prevent that until I know that things are fine.

@seantpg Same problem. I reported it a while ago and nothing has changed. However, oddly, it seems to work on regular Opera for Mac but not on Opera One.

@nintendork07 Most browsers seem to be having trouble from the reports I've seen.

RE: 97.0.4719.28 Extensions issues (M1 Ventura)Opera for Mac
Sounds like it is time for a bug report given the lack of acknowledgement here.
I'm not all that bothered by using an earlier version except that it is set to auto-update when closed and reopened. Hopefully I won't have to do that until it's fixed.

RE: Opera just got even faster with M1 support for Mac fans and custom shortcutsBlogs
Opera keeps trying to update to .250. I get a popup that says "'Applications Opera' is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Bin." Tried it three times.

RE: 97.0.4719.28 Extensions issues (M1 Ventura)Opera for Mac
@spike666 So I had to restart Opera and it auto-updated to 4719.43. Miraculously, everything seems to be fixed. I haven't tried every situation, but the printing is restored and the main extension I use that has to access URLs (Bitwarden) works. A non-native (Google) app that sends URLs to email also works. So it looks like it may have been solved. Hopefully it will work for more than a day.

RE: Opera 97.0.4719.28 Stable updateBlogs
Many of my extensions and printing a web page all stopped working. I reported this as a bug and on the Opera Forums but have heard nothing. It appears to happen when the extension needs to access a URL.

@max1c So your saying that people who have different experiences than you should not report them. Complaints only isn't going to fix anything.

RE: Introducing Opera 102Blogs
@sklunk I did it, everything is fine. Restarted Opera twice and my computer (Mac) once just to see that it was all there. I wasn't too worried, despite what some people say, the old profile is there even with the older 102 update. I did save all the profile stuff fresh just in case.

@ralf-brinkmann How would you know? It doesn't show up in the list of extensions. It just started working for me without anything being done on my part. I don't have auto-update turned on.

@ralf-brinkmann I didn't have to do anything, it automatically updated and works fine.

Something in this release is bringing my system to its knees. All cores go to 100% after a minute or two. Cleared cache, restarted Opera, still stopped everything, rebooted, same thing. Never happened before, but I am now using the non-developer release. MacOS 14.5

Split screen doesn't work with pinned tabs. Is there a reason for this? For my use, it's the pinned tabs that I most need to use in split screen.

I still can't take the music player out. Maybe I'm missing some trick.
