Hello Opera GX Support Team,
I am experiencing a very persistent and frustrating issue with my Opera GX browser that I haven't been able to resolve despite countless attempts.
The Yandex logo on the Speed Dial (Quick Access) search bar does not disappear or change, even though Google is correctly set as my default search engine for the address bar and all general searches.
Approximately two years ago, I used Opera GX, and at that time, I was successfully able to change this specific search bar to Google. However, after recently reinstalling the browser, I'm unable to achieve the same result.
Here's an extensive list of actions I've already taken, including trying 11 different methods with the help of an AI assistant:
Checked and edited bookmark files (found no entries related to Yandex).
Performed a complete user profile reset.
Completely uninstalled and reinstalled Opera GX.
Thoroughly cleared browser cache, cookies, and all site data.
Repeatedly changed the default search engine (to Bing, DuckDuckGo, then back to Google) to try and force a refresh.
Reviewed "Manage Search Engines" settings extensively.
Manually checked and edited the "Local State" file for country and search engine references.
Despite all these efforts, the issue persists. I've also come across discussions suggesting this might be due to a "business partnership" integration, implying it's not something a user can remove.
Could you please confirm if this is indeed a permanent "business partnership" integration? More importantly, is there any possible method or workaround to remove or change this Yandex logo on the Speed Dial search bar to Google?
