@leocg I also can't delete my account because I don't have a password set up. It tells me: You need to log in with your social media account that is connected to the Opera account. I don't have a social media account connected to my Opera account. I am logged in with a google account. This is beyond silly. Again, I can't share a screenshot as it keeps telling me the file is too big...I mean, really?

@leocg Am unable to upload image as it says the size is too big. As said, I have to put in a password but since I am creating a new account I don't have a password to fill in. If I do fill in a bogus password is says my password is wrong and after applying for a new password just to see what happens, the email never comes and no, it also did not arrive in my spam. I have decided to give up and delete my account. If it is that difficult, it is not worth my time. There are plenty other browsers that work perfectly fine.

@leocg I don't have another account and when I opted for lost password out of curiosity I never received an email.

The screenshot shows the options I am given. Again, the info you gave that you can only log in with a Gmail is incorrect. I will use my google as log in as there is no solution and wrong information.

Ik maak sinds een aantal dagen gebruik van opera en wilde een account aanmaken en daar stuite ik op iets. In het scherm waar je een accoount kan maken of inloggen krijg je een paar opties. De eerst optie is: Lets start here en daar kan je een email invullen. Als je dan vervolgens doorklikt wordt er gevraagd om een pasword te maken maar als ik dat doe krijg ik de mededeling dat mijn wachtwoord verkeerd is, wat raar is omdat ik nog geen account heb. Afijn, na even verder kijken krijg je nog wat andere opties nml: Facebook/Google en Apple. Ik heb uiteindelijk voor google gekozen maar had liever een andere optie gehad.
De screenshot is wat ik te zien krijg. Graag zou ik een account willen maken zonder Google maar weet niet of die optie er is? Heb ook wat navraag gedaan op het engelse gedeeltr van Opera maar daar beweren ze dat je alleen een Opera account kan maken met een Gmail, wat mijn screenshot bewijst dat dit niet zo is.

@leocg when I wanted to create a new account with an email annd enter a password it said my password was incorrect. This does not make sense becausenInhad no password to begin with. I have searched online for the issue I have and it is a known issue that goes back years with no solution.

@leocg It gives me a few options: I can enter an email or log in with Facebook/ Apple or Google. When I enter an email it takes me to a page where I need to add a password, I assume for existing accounts, so I opted for Google. A google account is not the same as a Gmail account. Since you can also log in with Facebook and Apple the info you gave me that I need to log in with a Google account is incorrect.

I am using the Opera browser and so far I am very happy with it. The only issue I have and would like to know more about is that I could only make an Opera account using my google account and not with another email? Is this a bug?
