@burnout426 I just tried that out - it works. And I get what you're saying when you say it's a workaround.
My gratitude is immense.

@burnout426 I am talking about the search field on the start page. As far as I know, there is no shortcut to focus it.
Google Chrome, however, does - just pressing [/] lets me begin typing up a search.
Much like Chrome has [/] as a shortcut to its search bar, Opera (GX) could implement such a feature. I am prone to opening lots of new tabs with [Ctrl + T] and closing them with [Crtl + W], so the need to use my mouse to search for something (I need to pick it up and move the cursor to the search bar) is breaking up the flow.
Edit: I frequently use Full Screen, where the search bar is not automatically clicked.
Every time I open GX, I need to put in my Dashlane password. I have a habit of closing the browser and then having to open it again, which means Dashlane is disconnected and I need to log in again. It's slightly annoying when you need to do that 5+ times through a "doing stuff on the computer" session.
I can't seem to find a setting that makes the "X" button minimize Opera GX instead of outright stopping it. Am I missing something or is that not a feature?
