@mark94 at the bottom of your sidebar which is located on the left of your screen, there is an icon there, it looks a picture with particle effects. That is your shader toggle, it is likely that "None" is selected as its default, so after your browser resets, it defaulted the shader to [None]
If you would like to see shaders on your GX browser, simply select an installed shader which is listed inside the shader toggle. Doing so makes it the new default, so whenever you open/re-open the browser it would use that shader.
