I've been trying to sync my passwords between desktop computers, but no matter what I do the password sync count remains at zero.

This mod edited title is not accurate to the feature I'm asking to be restored. I want the URL search dropdown menu in it's entirety to be disabled in the surface browser and not just the buggy actually unusable sub browser profiles. All for basic privacy like the browser was about years ago.

Years ago the Opera GX browser had the option to allow us to prevent suggestions, history, and bookmarks from showing up on a dropdown menu when searching in the URL bar. For some reason this good feature was removed. Years later it was added to the buggy, 10x memory consuming, constantly crashing, bad idea, sub browser profiles. I do not wish to ruin my time dealing with that nightmare just to have basic privacy. Please add that feature in the sub browser profiles back to the surface level browser.

I really do not understand why it is not there anymore other than the possibility of making users deal with the horrible profile experience so you can report to the higher ups that "users are using the feature" regardless of if the user is actually having a good time with the feature. Similar to what most companies are doing with AI to their shareholders

I understand why it would be preset in the "Streamer" profile preset, but basic privacy is not just for streamers. As a person in the physical world with a computer in the physical world, other people in the physical world can physically be near me in view of my computer. Regardless of if my history/bookmarks are SFW, NSFW, financial, or entirely unimportant benign info, I do not want people in/knowing my business. I should have the ability to make that certain by disabling the dropdown menu like I could previous and can do now in the turbo buggy unusable sub browser profile feature. That feature was why I downloaded GX in the first place. I stayed because I thought it was a fluke and was giving the devs the benefit of the doubt. Well, after years, I'm about all dried up on that and will have to start migrating soon.

@leocg Well that sucks since Opera makes it essentially impossible to actually contact them about things like this

@leocg On my main desktop, there are about 50 passwords saved locally. Sync has passwords turned on. In the sync menu there shows zero passwords saved. I've triple checked and passwords are turned on for sync

@leocg passwords are listed as supposed to be being synced, but nothing is actually happening with them.

I Have 3 computers I work on. Using My Flow would make work a lot easier as flash drives get lost a lot. However, I can seem to be able to use My Flow between 2 desktops even thought both are signed-in to the same Opera account and have sync on.

Is this even possible?
