@leocg yes, I noticed the Sessions folder. I don't know the logic of Chromium though, so I wanted to find out what I should do to make Opera use the previous session.

My open tabs were lost, so I immediately created copies of
~/.config/opera ~/.cache/operaPrevious instructions advise to restore "Last Session" and such, but I do not see files or directories with those names in Opera 73.0.3856.344
How can I restore previous session tabs in Opera 73+ from the backup?
