Hi guys,
Sorry for my late response, but I had a very busy week.
@TiqkleMeElmo, what I meant was this icon in the Windows taskbar:
In an English Windows installation, it should be called "New private window" (or something like this). If you haven't had a taskbar entry so far, you can just create one.
@thefufuateme, not even sure what you are meaning, but maybe the additional information, including the screenshot, may help. If not, you could maybe add some more information like the installed GX version, screenshots, and/or screencapture of the current behavior and so on.
I hope this helps! If you need further assistance or more revisions, feel free to let me know!

I've fixed this like right now, i checked the time it took to crash and it took exactly 25.416 seconds for me to crash. i disabled all the extensions and it doesnt crash anymore. make sure that you dont have any extensions enabled (like i had an adblocker for youtube). if it doesnt work get the installation setup and run the repair option, it should fix everything

@NikxEF50 dang thats nice i just had this problem starting since yesterday. it just opened in the task manager but nothing popped up on the screen. i turned off my firewall antivirus and cleared cache to see if that would do anything. It didn't, but all of a sudden this morning it started to open a black small screen (opening opera animation) on the screen, opening for a second, closing, and this process repeating three or four times before giving up. In the task manager it says a opera crash reporter was on in the background too. I came back from school today and now the black screen thing happens, but a opera gx logo appears. is there anything youve done to fix anything similar to this?

@itzmaxxxx Only thing that i suggest you to do is to get the installation file and try repairing opera GX, its the only thing that comes to my mind.

Re: [My Opera GX suddenly crashes on start up](anything I can do to fix?)
Issue: Opera GX Restarts on Mac Sonoma
Ciao there! If you're encountering an issue where Opera GX restarts immediately upon opening on Mac Sonoma, and you cannot access safe mode or configuration settings, here's a simple solution.
Solution: Update Opera GX using the Brew package manager for simplicity and reliability.
Steps to Resolve:
- Open the Terminal on your Mac.
- Install or update Opera GX using the Brew package manager with the following command:
brew install --cask opera-gx
- Brew will handle downloading, upgrading, and replacing the existing app for you. For example, here's what you might see during the process:
==> Downloading https://formulae.brew.sh/api/cask.jws.json ######################################################################## 100.0% ==> Upgrading 1 outdated package: opera-gx 114.0.5282.243 -> 115.0.5322.113 ==> Upgrading opera-gx ==> Downloading https://get.geo.opera.com/pub/opera_gx/115.0.5322.113/mac/Opera_ ######################################################################## 100.0% ==> Backing App 'Opera GX.app' up to '/opt/homebrew/Caskroom/opera-gx/114.0.5282 ==> Removing App '/Applications/Opera GX.app' ==> Moving App 'Opera GX.app' to '/Applications/Opera GX.app' ==> Purging files for version 114.0.5282.243 of Cask opera-gx πΊ opera-gx was successfully upgraded!
- Once the upgrade is complete, launch Opera GX. It should now open smoothly without issues.
Outcome: This method resolved the restarting issue, and Opera GX worked seamlessly afterward.
Note: A similar approach might work on Windows, but Brew isn't available for Windows.
Feel free to share if this resolves your issue?

Hello there @darksorcy. For some reason my browser still behaves the same way even if I start it up on a private window. It still crashes just a few seconds after I open it. Please help me on what to do if you can. I would really appreciate it.
