Synchronization between Desktop and Laptop

I'm trying to Sync the settings between from my desktop to my laptop but nothing has changed.
I have enabled 'Sync everything' in advanced sync settings and my account says 'Data is synchronized' but nothing is actually synchronizing.
All I really care about is my settings and bookmarks but not even customize sync is working.
