Auto Update Disabled?

My copy of Opera Developer is reporting "23.0.1508.0 - Update checker is disabled" when I go to the "About Opera" page.
Is this correct, and does anyone know what's wrong if it isn't?

Have you disabled auto-update using one of the following methods?
- Setting an environment variable
- Launcher command line switch
- Messing with opera_autoupdate.exe

Thank you, I am a complete idiot!
I put the environment variable in quite some time ago, and then completely forgot about it!
I had actually assumed that it would still check manually even with the auto update disabled, but this is obviously not the case.
They really need to give an option to turn it on or off in the settings, and a button to check manually even if it's off.
I feel such a fool..............

One thing I have subsequently found is that changing the variable's value from "yes" to "no" does not re-enable auto updates.
You appear to have to remove the variable altogether to re-enable it, so I guess its value probably doesn't actually matter
