Aria only translates to English when using translate menu?

Why when I click Translate Aria does not translate to whatever language is set as the browser language only to English? It's idiotic when I select English text, click "translate" and get English text again.

@pzygmanski Just checked on Opera Developer 103 and Aria translated the text to the language set as the main one in settings.

@pzygmanski I just tried with another installation I have with the language set to Norwegian and Aria translates to Norwegian, I also changed the main language to French and translation was in French. So if your main language you use the browser in is English then you will have to use another translator like Google/Bing (I use an extension ae which is fairly useful)

@rob-b No, the default browser language is Polish. Similarly, when I ask Aria a question in Polish, she replies to me in English, unless I give the command: answer in Polish (everything written in Polish).

@pzygmanski The default language for pages is Polish? The translate button in the AI prompt is in Polish?

@leocg No, Polish is the default language of the browser, the pages are in English or other languages (such as BBC or Japanese language pages). The translate button in the AI prompt is in English but part of the menu is in Polish.

@pzygmanski Any difference if you set Polish as the main language for pages?

@leocg Thank you very much for your help which put me on the right track. I had to change the setting: "Websites will show content in your preferred languages, when possible" and set Polish at the beginning, and now is fine.

All those previous comments are few months old. At that time my Aria translation worked fine. Opera's UI-language was English but in language settings the first one was Finnish.
Few Opera's updates later, Aria translation started to behave just like those guys abova tell. English into English. And nothing helped.
Although it asks 'What language you want the translation into?'
But there is no way to set this up. Still Finnish the 1st language in the settings.
It works fine eg. from German to English.
So there must be a bug in Opera. And in my experience it never will be fixed. That's Opera's policy. Good example is that video problem too.
I've been using Opera for so long, both in my laptop and phone. Hoping that bugs would be fixed some day. I'll give up now, that will never happen and that's a pity. -

I found a bug similar as described in Aria translation language. Despite it is 06.10.2024 and have the latest update translating from English, Aria output is in Slovenian. I have nothing common with Slovenia (Win10 is in Slovakian, Opera interface and webpage setting in slovakian).
In no place Slovenia is mentioned in my Opera but Aria translation is in Slovenian.
Is is not a bug but developer general ingorance to realize slovenian/slovakian is not the same?
Thanks to this Aira translation is completely useful and time spent for development of this "like a product" is a wasting energy of human being.
