Make Ctrl+Tab more definite

Hello,
I am using the Ctrl+Tab command to browse through my Tabs quite a bit.
But my focus is dragged back and forth by the three resulting behaviours (i.e. preview pane + highlighting the TabTab + highlighting the list entry top right).
I wish this could be more explicit, clearer and simpler by having only one of these behaviours (whichever) or to allow the user to deactivate some of these behaviours.

I know it's not the most practical when used from kb shortcuts.

Also you should wait at least two months before bumping a suggestion/request, specially your own.
