I know, there was no actual setting so it's surprising they were somewhere near correct ... but it was correct until recently and is now an hour off. Anywhere we can set a real time zone?

Europe changed to summer time changed last night, maybe that caused it?

Haven't noticed any problems with the time zone and it is showing the right time for me now.

Let's do a timezone test.

Edit: it's showing the correct time here.

Nope, an hour early - as if I was in Central Time rather than Eastern.

I've changed the system time, let's see what will happen.

Edit: No difference.

Now testing a timezone change.

Changing from GMT -03:00 to GMT -02:00 and nothing has changed.

Let's try changing from GMT-03:00 to GMT-04:00

No changes on the time showed in the forum post also. So i think the OS time has no relation.

Let's try a last test.

Chaging country on Opera account also has no effect.

So i don't know hoe the forum gets the user time.

I knew OS time was ignored ... if you aren't signed in you see GMT or Oslo time (not certain which). Probably trying to guess your time zone from your IP address. (And yes, they know your IP address. As a mod every message has the poster's IP address on it.)
