I logged in to show my displeasure with Opera for downgrading the ONLY feature that makes me stick with Opera. I watch a lot of youtube and video pop-out helps like crazy with multitasking. I use it to keep an eye on the video while listening to the audio. And occasionally check back to the video tab if I see something worth watching clearly is on. Hence the new version was horrible to use. Please, devs, roll back.

And thanks to the people on this thread for telling me how to disable the new version. Much appreciated.

So when I pop a video out from youtube, why does it have a black border at the sides and bottom? I remember this didn't use to happen when initially the pop out feature released.

I think the problem is resolution. Set both the computers to the same resolution and see if the problems persists

Often when there's a lot of browser tabs open, trying to switch VPN on/off results in a freeze and eventual not responding box.
I've Opera Beta 47.0.2631.23 (PGO)
Win 10 x64
16gb RAM (pretty sure low RAM isn't the issue, even with like 5 tabs this happens)

I've checked in each stream and the video borderless is just in OStable, Beta and Dev has a black border sides.

What? Stable? I'm getting border in stable too. Do you mean stable before the reborn update?

I didn't disappear for me. Been there since Reborn. First on beta, then stable. Is it there in the latest dev version?

EDIT: I checked the changelog and there's some fixes to video pop out but they are all compatibility fixes instead of UI fix

I wonder if this will ever get fixed... I miss the borderless video popout...

I hope it gets fixed soon though, I was about to switch to Vivaldi when the pop out video thing came out and I didn't. I use it on a daily basis so it's quite annoying to have the border(which is not even the same width all round)

There's also a bunch of other UI issues(like the windows theme colour option) and isn't Opera 45 meant to be all about the new UI? Sorry it just doesn't make sense to me.

So I'm the only one with the issue wtf.

I could reproduce it with Stable 44.0.2510.1218 (PGO), although I get a one-pixel black border at the left, bottom, and right of the pop-out instead. It has never been a burden to me, but borderless would look much better.

I guess the border has always been there, but it's gotten bigger in the reborn update.

So what's the reason it happened? Is the issue gonna be fixed?

Only the top side is borderless, used to be all sides borderless, and still is on my other PC running opera stable. Doesn't matter if I resize the video pop out, the bottom, and sides have the black border.

Since the Opera 45 beta update the video pop out has an ugly black border. It used to be borderless, what's the problem?

Opera beta works, even with sync turned on. Stable is not working at all even without sync. Why is the beta more stable than the stable???

This happens to me too. I am on latest build of Opera stable. I need opera sync since I use opera on my android phone too. I am gonna try using opera beta now. If it doesn't work, I am gonna have to use Vivaldi since the only reason I use opera desktop is for sync with android opera.
