This so annoying. Some time ago I had a well organized speed dial page but after an update, it all disappeared. There was no way to get it back so i had to rebuild it with new topic folders and links to pages. It still wasn't back to what it once was but it was close. Now today, after this latest update, all my speed dial folders that I had are gone -- the speed dial page is useless. Why does Opera keep blasting saved settings away? Opera is my preferred browser, but it is very frustrating when all my open tabs, bookmarks bar and speed dial folders disappear after some updates. Is there any way of getting them back?

Have the User Agent Browser Identification match with the Mac OS version the browser is running on.Suggestions and feature requests
I needed to provide the browser identification for a link-checking app and looked on About Opera.
I am using Opera Version: 94.0.4606.54 (arm64) running on a MacBook Air (M1,2020) using
System:macOS Version 12.6.2 (Build 21G320) 12.6.2 arm64
Chromium version:108.0.5359.125But the browser identification has:
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/108.0.0.0 Safari/537.36 OPR/94.0.0.0Mac OS X version 10 is Catalina.
macOS version 12 is Monterey. Soon I'll be using macOS version 13, which is Ventura.Shouldn't the browser ID match the macOS version it is running on?

RE: If browsers in three devices are synchronized, what are they supposed to look like?Synchronization
@leocg How do you access the open tabs or speed dials in the other installations? If I have 12 tabs open in one installation with 10 speed dial boxes, then I go to a different computer and that Opera browser will only show me the 4 tabs and 3 speed dial boxes I have for Opera on that computer. By going to the View menu and using Show Speed Dial, it only shows me the one for that browser on that computer. I can't see how we access the fuller set of open tabs and speed dials on the other computer. The same with trying to find them on the phone.
Is there a missing menu item that allows us to see a list of all the tabs and speed dial boxes across three installations?

If browsers in three devices are synchronized, what are they supposed to look like?Synchronization
If browsers in three devices are synchronized, aren't they supposed to look the same in the Speed Dial pages and the open tabs? All three of mine look different and yes, I am signed on to all three Opera browsers.
When I look at What is Synchronized, two of them have the same totals for the different categories, but the third one has 183 open tabs total while the other two have 162. And all three show different open tabs and different Speed Dial pages.
Do you have a different idea of what synchronized is supposed to look like?

RE: Opera Sync does not do its jobSynchronization
@blkblazzin420 I agree that Sync is not working. I have logged in to Opera on all my devices: iPhone, iMac, MacBook Air, and none of the Opera browsers match. The one on the iMac was the first browser I set up and the Speed Dial, tabs, passwords, and bookmarks are what I'd like to see in the Opera browser on my other devices. I don't get any of the Speed Dial entries, bookmarks, or tabs on the browsers on the other devices.
I have made the settings for Sync in each browser so that all data should be synced but how do I get it to sync? I have clicked the "Synchronize your data" button on the "You're now logged in" page but nothing happens except to take me to the "Advanced sync settings" page, which I've already set up. I've selected Sync everything and I've tried selecting the Customize sync selection in each devices' browser and nothing syncs. It seems the Do not sync data selection is permanently set.

How long does it take to sync your devices?Opera for Mac
I did a clean reinstall of Opera on my iMac. Then I went to Synchronization and logged in to my Opera account. I checked all the items I want synced from my MacBook laptop device to the new browser on my iMac. I got a response that it was done and I'm all set.
But it isn't. Nothing has been brought into the new browser--no Bookmarks, Open Tags, Settings, or Passwords. When will they show up?

RE: No Speed Dial IconsOpera for Mac
There used to be an icon to Add to Speed Dial but it is missing. The heart icon just says Add to Bookmarks. Boookmarks and Speed Dial are not the same thing to me. Why can't we add a URL we are looking at to Speed Dial anymore?

Missing Hide Address BarOpera for Mac
What happened to the Hide the Address Bar view setting? I want to make a screen capture that shows more of the page without zooming out by hiding the address bar. That used to be possible. Is there a way to do that?

My Flow doesn't workOpera for Mac
Re: [Cannot connect iPhone with MacBook (no Flow](no Wallet))
I'd like to connect Opera Touch on my iPhone with my Opera browser on my computers. I discovered how to get My Flow to show up in the browser and I clicked on the link in Opera Touch for Connect to Computer. It showed an animation of what to do. The problem is My Flow on my computer browser won't open. It tries for a while then the window title changes from My Flow to Error. I've tried this several times.

@henner51 Anything needing Flash will no longer work. Delete all files that needed Flash. I've read that they should be converted to HTML5.

Is there a way to manually enter the email addresses for a saved password?Opera for Mac
Problem: Opera password saver is not saving the email address used with a saved password.
I have three different login email addresses and passwords for a hosting service provider's URL (three different accounts). I used to have the three different logins (email address with related password) for the one URL saved in the Password Manager. So when I go to the site and select which email address I want to logon with, Opera fills in the correct password for that email address. Opera used to do this.
Now when I login for a site and tell Opera to save the password, it only saves the URL and the password. It doesn't save the necessary email address. The Manage Passwords list doesn't show the email address for new logons. Other saved passwords for various sites show all three: URL, email address, and password.
Previously, I had had three saved logons for the one URL:
URL emailaddress-1 password-1
URL emailaddress-2 password-2
URL emailaddress-3 password-3
but I needed to change the passwords. When I tried to log in for the first account, Autofill brought up the wrong password for that email address. I entered the new password and told Opera to save the new password. I thought it would be saved for the email address I was using.
Next I tried to log in using a different account's email address, Autofill didn't use the old password that had been saved with that address. Instead, it used the new password I had just saved for the other email address. I entered the new password to be used with this second email address and saved it thinking it would save it for this second login address.
The same thing happened when I tried to log in to the third account.
Looking at the Password Manager, I now have just
URL [no email address] password (whatever the last one saved was)
How do I get back to the previous state where there were three different logons? Is there a way to manually edit the Password Manager so that each email address is connected to the right password? -
All my pinned and open tabs disappeared after updateOpera for Mac
I am using iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017) running Mojave 10.14.6
Updated today to Opera 71.0.3770.171I have my settings set to "Retain tabs from previous session" when shut down and this has always worked. But after the update, the tabs were not retained after shutting the browser and reopening the browser.
I tried going into Time Machine and restoring the com.operasoftware.Opera folder in Library/Application Support from earlier in the afternoon but it didn't help. I did get back all the History but none of the tabs.
How do I get the tabs back and get them to be retained with this new version?
