After installation of latest opera-developer, I tried to run opera-developer but nothing happens. Then I ran it from terminal & here's the output-
Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file: No such file: (null) Gtk-Message: 22:22:06.750: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" (opera-developer:30794): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: 22:22:06.901: No GSettings schemas are installed on the system Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped) Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file: No such file: (null) Gtk-Message: 22:22:07.729: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" (opera-developer:30907): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: 22:22:08.433: No GSettings schemas are installed on the system Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file: No such file: (null) Gtk-Message: 22:22:09.267: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" (opera-developer:30969): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: 22:22:09.910: No GSettings schemas are installed on the system Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file: No such file: (null) Gtk-Message: 22:22:10.709: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" (opera-developer:31031): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: 22:22:11.308: No GSettings schemas are installed on the system
& nothing launches. How can I resolve it?
Specs- Manjaro(kde), kernel:5.4.6, snapd:2.42.4-1, Opera-dev:67.0.3554.0
Video in popped-out window gets stuttered while I try to get down to youtube comments section.Btw,audio doesn't get distorted.
Popped out windows got crashed everytime while I tried to switch from one running videos to another. & it all started after the new opera dev update (56.0.3023.0). In the old version, it used to freeze time to time but never crashed (at least not for me). Is anyone else facing it or is it just me?
yea... I'm using opera dev 56.0.3013.0 in windows 10 x64bit, & it's crashing time to time & if it ain't crashing then it remains frozen. Several crash report have been submitted from my side, hope they will release a new version soon. It also freezing the running video in popped out window...
@leocg would ya elaborate it a bit...
I'm using opera developer 56.0.3013.0, most probably it's d latest one. In this, I'm getting an awkward problem regarding search engine. If I add any search engine & set it to default, then after every browser browser restart it gets reverted to previous one. I tried to set startpage as default, but after browser restart it gets reverted back to google. Is this normal? btw, if I set any of those pre-installed search engines as default, then that doesn't change after browser restart.
Opera beta is for a sneak peak of the future opera (stable), if I aint wrong. Now I do use 3 version of opera i.e. stable, beta&developer. It seems stable & developer get update in correct order & in case of beta it all messes up. Is beta really a beta or it's just a casual release of pre opera stable? Don't get me wrong... I'm really not understanding why beta version is lagging behind d stable version? please educate me.!
