Presumably that first site was in a frame, and any links clicked inside the frame would stay in the frame. Links opened from the address bar or Bookmarks should have been normal.
Google will offer translation links in foreign-language Searches, but there should be an easy way to open the original as well.
I did all the things you suggested.
Interestingly enough, when I opened the Cmd window and keyed in the line about the launcher.exe, even if I typed it in quotes, I got the same message that Windows could not find c:\Program Not sure why it couldn't find it. The settings option was set to use the Start Page on startup, and to notify if another URL wanted to start it. I turned those options off and then back on and now the problem has stopped. I'm not sure why it stopped because I set it back to exactly how it was when I opened Settings.
At least, now it has stopped doing it.
Thank you very much for the detailed instructions. I appreciate the help and your time.
For the background loading setting you're referring to, you can goto the URL opera://settings/userInterface?search=Delay%20Loading%20of%20background%20tabs to get to it.
As for the issue itself, download the Opera installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder on your desktop, set "install for" to "standalone installation" and install. Test in that Opera. If it works fine there, it's probably an issue with your profile and or extensions.
Did you try disabling all your extensions to see if any are causing the issue?
See this FYI from Opera about the long approval time. Hopefully Opera will sort that out. https://forums.opera.com/post/128215
Is this the Firefox version you're talking about? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/easy-youtube-video-download/
If so, you can keep an eye out in https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions for the Chrome version, which you can install in Opera using the method I mentioned previously. I don't see it in the Chrome web store yet, so have the FYI you when it's ready.
