RE: New Opera developer 43Future releases
Opera 43 restarts on Ubuntu 16.10 64-bit:
Run Opera with --ssl-version-max=tls1.3.
Go to a site that uses TLS 1.3 (e.g. https://www.cloudflare.com/).
Click on the padlock. Opera restarts.
Or just go to a site (Google’s) which uses QUIC (and TLS 1.3) and click on the padlock. Make sure QUIC is used; it isn’t always.
RE: Opera 12.17Opera for Windows
Opera 12.18: https://get.geo.opera.com/pub/opera/win/1218/
An important update, see https://www.opera.com/blogs/security/2016/02/opera-12-and-opera-mail-security-update/
EV-certificate looks like OVOpera for Linux
https://www.washingtonpost.com has an EV-certificate, but it looks like OV (no name next to the padlock) in Opera on Ubuntu (not on Windows).
This is a Chromium-issue: it looks like OV in Chrome on Ubuntu too. The issue predates the switch from NSS to BoringSSL (Chromium 46). It looks like EV in Firefox on Ubuntu (with “Query OCSP responder servers to confirm the current validity of certificates” enabled).
RE: New Opera developer 41Future releases
We have added experimental support to popular searches below the search box in Speed Dial. The idea is to have one-click access to trending searches. So far the backend is manually fed, so while we’re working on it, you might find more of what we think is trending, than what the rest of the world is searching for.
No, no, no! Remove the spam. Including “New iPhone” as a suggested search is indeed an insult. I search for what I want and need to search for, not what others search for. I’m not a sheep. :(|)
