I love your browser, but can you please fix the huge inconsistency on the icons in the sidebar? Why some icons are full color while others are just plain black and white?

RE: Opera SoldLounge
So it seems the takeover failed:
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-opera-software-m-a-china-idUSKCN0ZY0CA
The so-called Kunqi consortium, which includes online and mobile games distributor Beijing Kunlun Tech Co and search and >security business Qihoo 360 Technology Co, will now buy certain parts of Opera's consumer business.
It will acquire Opera's mobile phone and desktop computer browser business, its performance and privacy apps division, its technology licensing business, as well as its stake in Chinese joint venture nHorizon.
I am pretty much ignorant about how this works. I don't know if this is a better or a worse notice, because the Chinese will now try to buy some parts of Opera, and IMHO, the most important ones. Does this mean that the Desktop and Mobile dev team will be separated from Opera too? Does this mean Opera will stay as it is, and the dev team will now only do what the Chinese demands?
Anyway... I am glad the takeover failed, and I hope the new one will fail too. Opera has become the best browser for Desktop, and even if I will be happily use it even if Opera is owned by the Chinese, I don't want to experience the day when the Chinese decide that Opera for Desktop and/or Phones isn't profitable enough to keep pumping time and money on it.

RE: sync.opera.com/web doesn't work.Opera account
Do you use any extensions? And what about anti-virus or any program that may be blocking page resources?
Indeed, I have 5 extensions, none of those seems to be the problem. I have disabled them all and the page still doesn't work.
BUT, the page works when I browse it in Privacy Mode (Incognito). I am still trying to identify the problem.
I have to say, I can't browse the Extensions page either. Only in Private Mode.
https://sync.opera.com/web/ is also not working for me. seems like the page is broken. I don't see reset button. none of the links are working in the this page.
How do I see my existing bookmark or how do I reset them?
Big problem!Try to browse that page in Private Mode. It worked for me, and you can reset your data through there.

RE: Opera SoldLounge
I recently had to work with a PC with Windows XP, I hadn't the permission to upgrade it, but I could change the browser because Chrome now has this banner saying its support will end soon.
I tried the latest version of Firefox and worked well.
Idk how much it will take to Mozilla to stop working on Windows XP, but right now it seems like the better choice.

RE: Opera SoldLounge
It makes me a bit sad, too... thinking about moving to Chrome.
By the way, haven't you guys noticed how many additions we have saw in the Opera Developer version during these months?
VPN, Pop-out video, Adblock, RSS Reader... it makes me wonder... the developers doesn't have control about the shareholders, nor about this acquisition, or what the Golden Brick will decide to do with Opera... but they can code.
During all these years, Opera's market share has been low, and that's the reason Opera was looking for a buyer. Actually, were the shareholders who wanted that, and were they who accepted the acquisition with the Chinese.
After the initial announcement, the Opera Dev team... maybe, they decided to do their best to show to the shareholders, and the users, that Opera can be greater without Qihoo. That's why #StillYourOpera started, but also why all these new additions.
The developers did their best to increase the userbase, and by that persuading the shareholders to not accept the acquisition.
... this is pretty sad.

RE: Opera SoldLounge
Well... we got a reply from the Opera Desktop Development Team:
http://www.opera.com/blogs/desktop/2016/02/stillyouropera-for-computers/
As you may have heard, the Board of Directors of Opera have forwarded a recommendation to our shareholders to consider an acquisition offer from a consortium of leading Chinese internet firms, Qihoo 360 and Kunlun.
Over the last year, Opera for computers user base has grown by more than 5 million users – not bad, considering that the PC market is in a sharp decline.
In the desktop team, we think this is good news. If the deal is realized, Opera for computers will be able to reach more users, faster. We will be able to accelerate our roadmaps, fix more bugs and contribute more code to the web.
We are also a major contributor to the Blink rendering engine, second only to Google. Our Desktop team has grown, and we keep adding great people, like Jon Hicks, so we can bring you the best quality product possible.
So, to sum up: we remain committed to the open web, to Opera’s legacy as innovator, and to our users all over the world. For many of us, our desktop browser remains the most important tool in our lives, and we promise to improve it even further.
It seems Opera, the browser, will not be affected negatively by this, which is encouraging. Time will tell.
