A couple of days ago Opera stopped opening links in a new tab. (I'm running Windows 10)

What the hell? I have multiple devices and I can't sync them. Operas keeps asking for a pass-phrase I never had and every time I try to recover it all Opera does is erase the synchronized info and logs me out only to ask for the passphrase again when I log in and try to sync.
