Dummies guide to Developer toolsOpera for Windows
WIN 10
OPERA: Version:73.0.3856.344Hi, Is there a dummies guide on how ti use developer tools ? (Ive not used it before).
Basically, i'm designing a new PHP script, and this one has no $_POST values and i'm not sure where to look in the developer tools to see that my HTML form is actually posting values to the form/PHP script.
How do i see if any values are actually being sent ?

Turn of the search tabs optionOpera for Windows
Hello - Im often typing on the URL bar, and this goes to google & searches for me (this is what i want),
However - recently, (I do not recall when), a new "feature" has appeared where im typing & then a pop-up appears called Search Tabs.
Half of what i am typing appears in the URL bar, and the rest appears in the search tabs option. I have to close the pop-up & resume typing.
How do i turn this off ? oi dont want to waste time on this (im searching a dozen times an hour )

How to delete cache automaticallyOpera for Windows
OPERA Version:73.0.3856.284
WIN 10 PC.Hi, I see that there is a manual way to delete the cache from "now" to 24 hours, 7 days etc..
I am wondering about these two options :-
- delete the ache over a certain timeframe (ie keep the cache under 7 days)
if i delete cache under 7 days, i could have some in my cache that was held over 8 days ago.
deleting cache over a certain timeframe seems more logical.
Is this in development ? in a later version of Opera that i have ?
and
- is there a way to delete the cache automatically on exit ?
Ie,
I close the browser, and any cache that matches my time-frame is automatically cleared/deleted.
I dont like having to remember to do things manually.

I am wondering if there is a setting that i can use to clear the cache automatically when i exit..
Or - if i have a RAM-drive - Use that & have it automatically used each time i boot up. (I'll have to set up a ram-drive - if i can)

Opera tab out of memory - radioOpera for Windows
Hello, in one of my tabs I listen to a radio station at https://www.iheart.com
OPERA:- Your version is 57.0.3098.116
Every 40-60 minutes or so, it stops & says ive run out of memory. Is there a way to tell opera that i dont need the station to be cached / saved. Once i listen to it, I dont need to re-listen to it.

Viewing HTML source codeOpera for Windows
Hello. Im running WIN10 with Version: 54.0.2952.71 Opera.
Basically I design websites & want to / need to look at the source code of my results. The problem I am having is that when I tell Opera to view the source code it re-loads or re-submits the URL/website URL to the server and then displays the HTML source code of THAT submission.
Is there a way to skip this and view the source of whatever im actually looking at. Some of my websites uses POST data, but the "refresh" part of reloading the view-source only submits the URL without submitting the form/POST data.
This of course CHANGES the results the website sends me. & thus i cant look at the source code of what im wanting.
Help.

View source of a FORM submission ?Opera for Windows
Hi, I am developing a new website and I want to view the HTML source / output after i submit an online form. But when i do this, Opera tries to re-submit the form information.
How do i view the HTML output / code of a form already submitted (already in my cache)

RE: VIEW SOURCE without re-submitting dataOpera for Windows
Hello. Ive found another problem with VIEW SOURCE.
i log in to a website, I change page - logged in, I change page - logged in, I change page - logged in, I change page - logged in, I change page - logged in, I change page - logged in, I change page - logged in, I change page - logged in,
i can do 100 different things on my website - & im logged in - (site uses php SESSIONS.)
Now - as soon as i try to view source, i see the HTML coding of the page of the LOGIN page (asking me for my login details)..
I switch tabs back to my original page (formatted view) & I click on a link or refresh & im now logged out...
CORRECTION: fixed.. (a piece of code was altering my sessions instead - causing me to log out) - however my original problem still exists.....

RE: Opera CACHE & also FLASH.Opera for Windows
Ive read about on the MEMORY thread in this forum, about Hardware Acceleration.
if i turn it ON - The forgeofempires website is fine.. if i turn hardware acceleration OFF - i just get a black screen in the background (foreground image are fine)...
but on that website, background images are an integral part of the game. Its useless without them. Soi have to keep accelearation ON. -
RE: Opera CACHE & also FLASH.Opera for Windows
ive tried... My problems disappeared that night (see above FIXES) - but they've slowly re-appeared....
I do have other browsers but forgeofempires.com website (game) I paly regualrly cannot / does not operate on any other browser. OPERA is the only browser that plays it.
example: Chrome (the one taht FOE has been tested / specifically designed/tested on) sjows foreground items, but the maps / background village etc show a black screen.
ive tried IE & everything is 20% of the real/actual size - too small to see/read etc...Win8:
OPERA
Version: 44.0.2510.1218 (PGO) - Opera is up to date
Update stream: Stable
System: Windows 8.1 64-bit -
RE: Opera CACHE & also FLASH.Opera for Windows
Thanks. I went to control-panel etc & saw i had TWO flash things from adobe.
I deleted one & closed/opened the browser & the forgeofempires game seems to be cooperating now - No more crashes.

Opera CACHE & also FLASH.Opera for Windows
Hello. two issues - but they could both be affecting an online game i play - Forge of empires.
periodically (too frequent to be unnoticible) I have to REFRESH the screen as the game FLASH just stops.. it just sits there doing not much, when ive requested the game to do something.
i have the latest FLASH and OPERA has recently been updated.
ISSUE 1) CACHE. in the settings > cache, the only option I see is a button to erase / clear the cache.
i DO see a place where i can alter the DOWNLOAD directory - however i dont download much. it goes to my F drive (ram drive).
Is there a place that I can also change the CACHE directory ? I'll direct it to my F drive tooo... (basically to reduce lag on my hard drive)
ALSO, putting cache in my F drive will automatically wipe my cache whenever I log off / shut down - this is WHAT I WANT to do.
Part 2 :- is there any setting to say how big i want my cache ? & also a setting to auto-delete cache at certain times (eg shut down.. or every xx hours).
QUESTION 2:-
What is the proper way to ERASE / DELETE my flash & re-initialise/download a fresh copy of it - even though OPERA says ive got the latest version.

RE: VIEW SOURCE without re-submitting dataOpera for Windows
Im just editing my page now with ONE template (no hidden parts)... When i submit my form it redispalys the apge with new data, & re-shows the HTML forms.
However half the time whole forms / html tables dissapear & if I view source, it re-sends the data & the HTML code comes -but it shows me the full code ... Not the code that has the missing pieces.
is it my website thats broke ? is it my Pc tahts mis-interpreting CORRECT html code ? Is my HTML code thats broken ?
from the opera settings, i can see no options for this - it always defaults to re-submitting data & retrieve HTML code for A NEW submission. not the request i previously did.
