@gbras Yeah, it's fine. As long as the notification program is gone, you're good.
Thanks for the good info.

Could it be this?
Yes. The Opera assistant gets installed when Opera is installed as part of a bundle (for an anti-virus program for example). Uninstall Opera while keeping your data, delete Opera's program files folder afterwards, download Opera from opera.com and install it. That should fix it.
I uninstall and reinstall it but i did not delete the opera program files folder. Everything seems fine. So isit fine if i did not delete the opera program file?

Thanks alot.
What do you mean? The notification bar i am referring to is the one from your main computer page at the bottom right.
Even when i am using other browser, the opera icon appear there and i have to close it.
How to disable opera from starting up automatically at my notification bar?
Well, i cannot seem to find a way to do so. Thanks
Well, i just installed Opera but why i cannot view video in FB page? What did i missed?
If you close Opera, rename your Opera profile folder (for example on W10 this is located somewhere in C:\Users\yournamehere\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software, profile folder is named Opera or Opera Developer or whatever update stream you are using) and restart Opera - does it come live? This is cleanest startup possible.
Hi,
So how do you do this where is the folder? More explanation on the steps please.
I am on 35. I just tried. I can't even click on extensions, the screen just keep loading and nothing came out...
Anyway to solve it? Thanks
Start with disabling antivirus temporarily.
If this doesn't help, disable all extensions.
If this doesn't help, then did you upgrade some older version or installed new one? If upgrade, then write down, where your Opera profile resides (you can see that folder on About page), close Opera, rename profile folder to something else, start Opera - will it open any pages now? If yes, then something in your old profile is fishy.
What about Vista, then two weeks ago I used Opera on XP without problems - and I have not heard about massive Opera problems on XP or Vista lately. Like Chrome stated, they just don't give updates to unsupported systems; existing code will work.
I was using the older version and the new version upgrade pop up so i click to install the newest version....
