why has opera become so slow in loading pages and tab especially facebook. i constantly have to close the fb tab and open another because it takes so long.
Opera Version 64.0.3417.54 for Win desktop PC: Since installing this version, opera is using exremely high power and memory that has slowed down the browser. I upgraded to ver .64 and its the same problem. it doesnt matter if i close all other tabs.

As I get more used to Opera, I am liking Opera more and more. I am having one issue at the moment that I thought that I would come here and try to get some help with.
Here is the address to a story on a local TV channel's news site:
http://www.whec.com/news/stories/S3855410.shtml?cat=565
The video there will not play for me. It is a Flash video, of course, but when you right click on it the "Anvato Universal Player" is in the list. This video plays fine for me in Slimjet (a Chromium based browser) and in Cyberfox (a Mozilla based browser). Other Flash videos play for me in Opera at other sites on the net. Why won't videos on this WHEC TV site play for me ? All of their videos are Flash and they all are using the Anvato player. Thanks for your help.
update ur adobe flash ppapi flash player. npapi has been removed from opera. current version .209
Your version of Flash is out of date. Current version is 18.0.0.203 as of this writing. Might not fix it but Flash is full of security holes so its best to have the most patched up version installed.
most recent is .209
Opera 30.0.1835.125
Adobe Flash 18pp_a installed
iMac mid 2007, 4 Gb memory
OS X Maverick
Hi,
flash video dont work with opera and chrome but work with Firefox. Why ?
Any solution ? thanks
if you had the npapi flash player installed and not the ppapi player, your media and games wont work. update to the latest ppapi flash. firefox opera and chrome have removed npapi support from their browsers.
Content doesn't care if its NPAPI or PPAPI. They are both the same from contents perspective. Also, Chrome does not give you the choice. Its PPAPI or nothing, just like Opera. Opera and Chrome share a renderer of course. Last I heard Firefox was going even further and was simply disabling Flash entirely because of its numerous unfixed security issues.
you are incorrect. farmville 2 runs on the npapi flash. it does run on ppapi but at a snails pace. there are some games designed to play on the npapi flash. yes you can add the npapi flash back into chrome and firefox. i do have npapi in chrome. opera does not give the choice. i would like it added opera to because its faster than google chrome. i have never had a security issue with flash. i dont know what all the hubbub is about over it.
how to firefox:

how to chrome:

avl,
firefox and chrome have given us the choice to leave it out or put it back in since many games run on npapi. why doesnt opera give us that same choice? i would like to have it back. opera didnt give any warning about it like th other browsers did. a notice would have been nice.
que han hecho algo. tal vez lo llevaron a cabo, como Firefox y Chrome ha hecho.
