I'll try and see what the results are.
Just thought it would all be documented.

RE: Portable browser will have passwords stored?Opera for Windows
Haven't tested
I just assumed you can unplug from one machine and use on another?
So, passwords aren't copied across and are stored on the local PC?
That's good to know!But... are cookies and everything else still there?
So, I can move to different machines if I did want to? (The only difference being I would need to type the username and passwords in again.) -
Portable browser will have passwords stored?Opera for Windows
Just wondering...
Let's say I store passwords on my USB portable Opera.
If someone got hold of the USB stick, then they would have access to websites that have passwords stored?Isn't that a massive security hole?
Surely opera should have something to counter? Like needing to enter passwords again if used on a new machine?

Can I export my settings and/or can I set settings outside of Opera?Opera for Windows
Can I export my settings for Opera?
Something I would like to export: remove tab cycling or recent order, wallpaper on startup and a few other settings.
I couldn't see any option on Opera.Also... can I make setting changes from outside of Opera?
Like set wallpaper and all other setting options?
I'm guessing (hoping) it's all stored in an XML settings file somewhere and should there be super easy? Thanks.

RE: How to apply specific color schemes?Opera for Windows
I just looked at settings.
You can change wallpaper to whatever you want.
This will do for now I guess.
On my wallpaper, I will add my username in big bold writing.Chrome, I'm pretty sure you can skin everything.
Was just hoping I could do the same with Opera. -
How to apply specific color schemes?Opera for Windows
I want to have a few different versions of Opera portable.
When each one is launched, I would like to have be in a different color.
I would love it if I could have my own graphics and writing on the header - telling me the username.
Is that possible?Thanks.

RE: Using Opera Portable + different profiles and cookiesOpera for Windows
Guys thanks for the replies.
I just wanted to confirm...
If I do as mentioned:"C:\Users\yourusername\My Program Files\Opera Portable\launcher.exe" "--user-data-dir=C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Portable NameYouWant1"
Then will the cookies get stored here?
For Chrome for example, this doesn't happen and the cookie is not stored in this folder (at least this is my understanding - for which I could be wrong).
Hope you can clarify.
Thanks.

Using Opera Portable + different profiles and cookiesOpera for Windows
I want to use Opera Portable...
I want to run many instances - is this possible?I want to have a different profiles under each instance - say logged into the same website using 2 ID's.
Cookies - where are these stored? And how do I copy existing cookies across?
I saw a post made somewhere else... where you make a user directory and then launch Opera and give the directory as a flag when running the exe. This then lets you run using a profile where data is stored in that directory.
Would this be the way to do it? Would all the cookies and anything else (like passwords) be stored in the directory (encrypted?)
Thanks.

RE: Cycling tabs - most annoying thing about OperaOpera for Windows
hmmm... u guys love opera too much
i would argue that if chrome and firefox have it - then surely they are following mass opinion and that u are wrong @mentallymental?@nvmjustagirl that new feature is awesome.
one thing... i definitely think is a bug... u cant turn off show tab preview. whether u have ticked or not... the tab is still previewed. or is just me?

Cycling tabs - most annoying thing about OperaOpera for Windows
First: Opera is awesome and I love using
I'm not a moanerBut... there's one thing I find super annoying...
Ctrl Tabbing and cycling through tabs - why cant we just have it like ALL other browsers. Opera has some clever preview - which IMHO is pants.Hoping someone can tell me how to turn off?
(Annoying also is how by default the tabbing order is most recent used. I mean is there a single person on the planet that uses this? At least I can turn off and switch to the order of just tab to the next tab.)

Cant save passwords for PaypalOpera for Windows
I want to have passwords stored for Paypal
I have many accounts and want to have them stored in the browser.
No problem with Chrome and Firefox. I cant get it to save for Opera.Could it be that I clicked 'Dont Save' some time ago and that setting remains?
If so, how do I clear so I can save? Thanks.
