Does not matter - latest and greatest often have problems too. Hardware is fine - apparently not. Depend on crash type - if windows keeps running, then graphic may just overheat; you have not provided any details about your video card (or entire system - desktop and laptop problems are often different).
Well, you can try disable hardware acceleration in Opera - may decrease graphics load in Opera. Of course this won't help with games crashing.
