How to make Opera 46 not to load all tabs to memory by default?
Tiny Suspender - it preserves the icons while suspended
Another alternative:
Install 'Download Chrome Extension'

RE: Opera drops downloadsOpera for Windows
Known VPN-related issue. If possible, don't use the VPN when downloading files.
I think the same issue occurred in this thread but the moderator closed it before anyone could help him
https://forums.opera.com/post/124791I actually notice this issue more on the Singapore server than any place else. You dont have to disable the VPN either: switching servers usually solves the problem. If the OP could specify which server was affected, it might be helpful for statistical purposes.

RE: Bye bye Firefox !!Lounge
That an the lack of any really helpful responses here.
Your lack of cooperation has a lot do with the result here: You declared that Firefox is trash and it "absolutely" damaged your Windows installation, which is simply not possible if you obtained a clean copy of the installer from an authorized source. So you're really declaring yourself to be deeply computer-illiterate.
Then you declared that something is wrong with Opera because it is slow — which is also virtually impossible. If Opera is slow all the time, the problem is with some other software or your internet connection. And this is only a forum for Opera browser support. No one here has an obligation to teach you how to use a PC, and help you fix Windows (or your internet service.)
Many of us dont really want to spend our life fixing Bill Gates software design mistakes for free so he can make billions from Windows. If you are having that much trouble with Windows and you cannot afford to pay for tech support, my advice is to stop using Windows because it requires a relatively high level of administrative intervention compared to Mac OS or Ubuntu running on a supported hardware platform.
Its possible that your system is infected with malware and even if not, the kind of support you are going to need here will require a technician to take control of your computer to use various system tools. I might even be willing to do that for free, purely out of curiosity about how you damaged your installation -- but you wont attract people willing to help when you only go around whining and blaming things you know nothing about, and refuse to state a question or answer one either!

BUG: Print layout glitches with AmazonOpera for Windows
Pages from the Amazon web site do not always print correctly - on many product pages the primary image is enlarged and often obscures some part of the title, price or description. For example:
https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Wireless-Mobile-Mouse-3500/dp/B0035ERKYW/
Note: Amazon is the 5th most popular web site in the world and millions of users are affected by this bug

RE: Wrongful censorship of forum postsForum feedback
So it was waiting for approval.
No. If later posts queued for approval appeared in the forum, then it was not waiting for approval, it was deleted.
A post can be unapproved if 1) it's jus spam or 2) it breaks forum rules.
I did not ask WHY posts are deleted, I complained about WRONGFUL deletion. My post was not spam, it was a bug report with proof so developers could verify that the report is legitimate. So you have not addressed the issue of wrongful deletion here, you just made excuses for it.
QUESTION: Does this forum maintain a log of who deleted posts and why?

RE: Opera crashing when startedOpera for Windows
- Report the problem page so others can duplicate the issue if possible
- Post crash data from Windows Event Viewer / Administrative Events

Wrongful censorship of forum postsForum feedback
I am seeing advertisements on Amazon related to my browsing in Opera, despite using Ublock and Umatrix. I dont have this problem in Chrome or Firefox, so I suspect Opera is leaking data. If Opera is sharing data with Amazon, at the very least I would expect Opera to print Amazon pages correctly without glitches. But alas that is not the case: when I go to print some Amazon pages the text to the right of the primary image is truncated. When I filed a bug report about this in the forum, it did not appear. So now I am posting to complain about the moderator who wrongfully deleted my post.

RE: [Solved]URL for FULL opera windows 7 FOR off line installOpera for Windows
The reason could be anything from a hostile state actor to a compromised network node or malicious WiFi access point. With an unencrypted protocol like FTP, anyone along the transmission line could substitute files in transit (and the technique is actively being exploited.) There's no good reason to use an insecure protocol like FTP.
