@burnout426 The problem appears to be resolved, in both Opera and EDGE, by switching off Hardware Acceleration. It may seem odd but I have a vague memory of this when I got my previous PC. Other fixes failed. Video streaming is now working OK

Video streaming almost unusableOpera for Windows
I am not able to stream many videos usefully with Opera. It is usually either frozen or buffering continually, deadly slow ,so if working at all the video comes in very short burst of both vision and sound. I have tried with hardware acceleration both on and off (as now). There have been a few times when it is satisfactory, so I know my OS and hardware can do the job when it wants to, but that has not been often.
I have checked out a number of recommended fixes, such the as broadband speed (around 35 mps), I always clear the cache etc., have adequate RAM and storage.
When videos are streamed, what media player is used --- I have never seen this stated on my system but have no reason to think it has a faulty player.
Windows 10 Home 64 Bit, Chuwi 10X

Video streaming slow or stuckOpera for Windows
On my new Windows 10 Chuwi Hi10 X video streaming is often unusable. At first there was major display distortion like a multicoloured agitated curtain, which stopped after disabling Hardware Acceleration. What has not stopped is what I think is very severe Buffering, ranging from the video not playing at all, being stuck on the first frame, or only showing a few frames before it stops.
I have recently upgraded my internet Broadband service and get a download speed around 40 mbps. RAM usage seems OK, around 50%. Suggestion would be welcome.

RE: How do I to Cast from Opera to my TV?Opera for Windows
@leocg Thanks. I am making some progress, as a result of you pointing me to the Settings item which I had not found before. I now get the Chromecast icon displaying with a video but although clicking produces a 'play to TV' notice it has not worked so far.
I get part of a notice popping up at the top of the screen but it is inert and as I cannot see it all I do not know if there is, for eg., a button to click to activate Casting ---it is not activated.
On the TV when I select Chromecast there is a message to say that it cannot find the required WiFi connection,, despite the fact that it is displaying the very thing it cannot find and doing so correctly, with the right name, PIn etc. This may be an issue with my otherwise functioning WiFi rather than Opera, so I will try Chrome which I do not normally use.
Also, I have not been able to get the Chromecast icon to appear when trying to cast images --- it used to be so simple in comparison.

How do I to Cast from Opera to my TV?Opera for Windows
I have not found how to Cast to my TV with Opera. I expected to find a Chromecast extension, at least among the Chrome Extensions, but if there is I have not found it there or anywhere else. Can someone tell me how to Cast please?

Mail Authentication ---- no help informationOpera for Windows
I cannot get started with Opera Mail because Authentication fails. I know why (my email service has gone to pot) but I am surprised not to find any information in Help --- it may be there, if so where?

Internet speed checker is no good whatsoeverOpera add-ons
I thought the speed checker extension could be handy --- it looked good. But it is absolutely hopeless. Its reported speeds are ridiculous, slow to the point of almost going in reverse--- if I did not use Ookla I might think my system had collapsed and my browsing experience a total fantasy. Is it just mine?
