I feel that the Opera sidebar would be better placed on the right hand side. It disturbs a bit on the left hand side (left to right reading direction). Maybe the position can be made configurable (left, right, top, bottom)?

I would like Opera to communicate which suggestions you intend to implement and why. Also I would like to know which suggestions you do not wish to implement and why not. Such communication by Opera is in my opinion very important to strengthen the discussion.

I would appreciate, if startpage.com was the default search engine. Also I wish an optimal cooperation between startpage.com and Opera.

When I go through my Facebook newsfeed, I frequently would not like to read the posts immediately. Instead, I open the (mostly newspaper articles) in new tabs. This leads to many open tabs. I would prefer a "reading stack", i.e., an alternative to open in new window or new tab that stores only the URL. Successively, I can then read through the articles. @leocg I understand your point and I agree that there is no perfect solution. The fact that this has been proposed a few times already indicates a significant interest of the Opera customers to be involved and to know about the development process. I think this is a very good thing that should be nurtured. Of course I also understand (and agree with it) that you may not wish to disclose everything you are doing. However, I feel that some communication about decisions made would be highly desirable also to optimally shape the final form of the feature. @leocg I agree with most you are saying. However, I believe that such a back-communication is very important. You may wish to have a look at the ORCID solution which is in my opinion reasonable.

Links such as ftp://ftp.ams.org/ams/doc/amscls/amsthdoc.pdf cannot be accessed from Opera but other web browsers. What is Opera's opinion of ftp links / ftp support?

I disagree, however, very much about your statement "People nowadays almost don't use email to communicate between them so developing a email client doesn't make much sense.". In my experience that is not the case. So a powerful email client is a very important offer Opera should make.

@leocg Yes. The label concept is a very interesting addition. But most users want to have the ability to create folders. A realization with a database is fine but should be transparent to the user. Folders can simply be implemented using the database technology.
