RE: Remove elements from toolbarSuggestions and feature requests
@acidinmyfridge Thanks for looking up an extension, but damn is it ugly. Plus I am losing all my tabs in fullscreen.
Every element in the Opera toolbar can be accessed/ reached by shortcuts or via the adressbar. I barely need to use the clickable buttons.
I was thinking of Safari, where one can remove everything in the toolbar except the adressbar.
I don't think anyone really needs to rearrange buttons but I would love to remove as much clutter as I can for a cleaner experience.
- Suggestions and feature requests
True dark mode supportOpera for Mac
Although there is a dark UI in Opera to choose from, Opera doesn't support the native NSAquaAppearance options that many mac apps use since the release of macOS Mojave.
System dialogues such as right-clicking, printing, the window's title bar and so on will appear in the old white style even if the user has set the system ui preferences to dark.
Remove elements from toolbarSuggestions and feature requests
It should be possible to remove any unwanted buttons from the toolbar.
Extension icons can be hidden, and it should also be possible to hide every other element like the share-, download-, navigation-, and speed-dial-buttons.
Make them rearrangable or let us hide the buttons we never use, so that one could have a navigation-bar that spans the whole display's width.
RE: Interface Bug in FullscreenOpera for Mac
@burtz Also observed when using a secondary monitor.
To recreate, open Opera in fullscreen on one, and click on the other monitor on an empty desktop (where no app is in fullscreen mode).
Interface Bug in FullscreenOpera for Mac
[Opera 57.0.3098.76 and at least 5 versions prior]
When using trackpad gestures to switch desktops to Opera in fullscreen, the whole Interface will be pushed down for about the height of the system's menu bar.
Only when 'resnapping' the desktop by using the gesture to slightly move it and then letting go of the trackpad, the interface will reset to normal state.
Native Tab SupportOpera for Mac
Have native cocoa tabs been considered for Opera?
Native tabs will always span over the whole window's width and also won't not create the weird gap over the custom Opera-style tabs.
macOS Fullscreen BehaviourOpera for Mac
Opera's fullscreen behaviour doesn't conform to what would be expected form an macOS application.
In fullscreen, no app should show the window managers traffic light.
It unnecessarily wastes space for tabs and is expected to appear at the on top of the window only when the user wishes to see the system's menu bar.
