Updated to 51.0.2776.0 (PGO) on Windows 10 and noticed that the LastPass extension has been "corrupted" twice now since the update. Repair seems to simply delete the extension requiring a trip to the extensions portal to reinstall it.

RE: Internal URLs won't load from speed-dial in Opera-Developer 50.0.2759.0Future releases
@broliant Noticed this is now working and am now on 51.0.2781.0. Think it may even have been fixed for me on one of the interim builds between the one I reported above and the current one.
#fixed.

RE: New Opera developer 51Future releases
@broliant said in New Opera developer 51:
@leocg When you asked this question I had not but in response to your question, I now have reported this to LastPass via submission of a support ticket on their website. I am not sure what their stance is on providing support for their extension when running in the Developer version of Opera - it may be they only get involved once the problem is seen in the main Opera browser - after all, as the browser build moves from Developer through Beta to main the issue may get resolved.
But it is now reported so at least the opportunity for an investigation to begin has been provided.
Follow up from LastPass below - as we might have anticipated they won't look into this until the same behaviour occurs in the main release rather than a developer or beta channel preview version.
Hi there
Thank you for reaching LastPass Support.
We do not support Developer Editions of web browsers - such issue may be expected because LastPass is only detested (sic) with the regular edition during development.
Best,

Internal URLs won't load from speed-dial in Opera-Developer 50.0.2759.0Future releases
Using Opera Developer 50.0.2759.0 on Windows 10.
On my speed-dial I have a handful of useful bookmarks to internal Opera resources as follows:
opera://bookmarks
opera://history
opera://flags
opera://extensions
opera://settings
opera://sync-internals/In this current build, clicking on any of these - except (strangely) the 'flags' link - fails to load the desired page. I can open a new tab, type these URLs into the address bar, hit return and they load as normal but the 'links' created in the Speed Dial do not work any more.
This has worked in general for a long time - more than a year - and I believe it has stopped working in either the current or a very recent build.
Would love to have it work again, appreciate this is not a show-stopper on browser functionality however.

RE: Bookmark Bar Appears When Adding New Bookmark post 50.0.2759.0.Future releases
@leocg Possible - the bookmark bar was appearing before I upgraded to 50.0.2759.0 when adding/editing a bookmark and it was appearing 'randomly' and I connected the two in my observation.
Having just upgraded, I haven't seen it appear in response to other page events yet so that specific issue may be fixed in 50.0.2759.0. However, definitely still appearing when adding/editing.

Bookmark Bar Appears When Adding New Bookmark post 50.0.2759.0.Future releases
This issue was originally reported in the thread below but that thread has been closed stating the issue is fixed in 50.0.2759.0.
I updated to 50.0.2759.0 and this issue still exists - clicking on the heart icon to add a new bookmark or to update the existing bookmark (if heart is filled/red) causes the bookmark bar to appear.
Previous thread, now closed:
https://forums.opera.com/topic/23014/bookmark-bar-reappears-even-after-disabling-it-repeatedlyAs noted in the previous thread, fairly benign in nature, just an annoying issue if you don't want the bookmark bar to be visible.

Opera Sync Icon Missing from Extensions Area, No Setting/Flag to Show ItFuture releases
I recall that some versions ago the Opera Sync icon that was originally permanently displayed in the extensions area to the right of the address bar had its behaviour changed such that it would be hidden by default and shown only when certain events occurred.
There was however either a setting or (more likely) a flag/experiment to re-enable showing this icon all the time which I enabled because it is my preference to have this icon always displayed.
I've just noticed this morning that the icon is not being permanently displayed and I am unable to find a setting or flag/experiment to re-enable the persistent display of it.
Can anyone comment on whether this is now the expected behaviour or an issue?

RE: [Solved]Address Bar Text Entry Broken with "Enable advanced keyboard shortcuts" enabled.Future releases

[Solved]Address Bar Text Entry Broken with "Enable advanced keyboard shortcuts" enabled.Future releases
Noted this problem occurring for at least the last few weeks but only now found a config item that can be toggled to fix/reinstate the problem.
Problem Description: When attempting to type a URL into the address-bar, various characters are unable to be typed because they've been mapped as short-cuts to features.
Examples.
Attempting to type www.anything.com fails because the "." character cannot be typed as part of an address.
Attempting to type www.webservice.com/mywebservice?wsdl fails because the "?" character causes the in-page search to appear.
Attempting to type a URL with certain numbers in fails because some numbers have been mapped to changing the zoom level of the current page.
Solution: Go to the address below and ensure that the feature "Enable advanced keyboard shortcuts" is disabled. I did not previously enable this feature so it should probably be disabled by default to avoid this issue.
opera://settings/?search=keyboard
Additional Info: Currently on Opera Developer 41.x. Tested and confirmed fix while all extensions disabled to prove this was not extension related.
Suggestion: At a minimum, if this is a useful feature in general, adding a check on the advanced keyboard shortcuts to ensure the keyboard focus is not in the address bar would probably be a good starting point.
