@leocg Now we both know that that is a crock of pig fat if Vivaldi can do it so can Opera what you really should be telling people on here is that the Opera dev team are just to lazy to implement it and more people who want this should be complaining to the Devs and asking for it to happen as it's really nothing to do with using Chromium it's just lazy devs

RE: Change Search Engine in Speed dial.Opera for Windows
@burnout426 yeah that's why I'm now going to get rid of Opera and install Vivaldi as they'll let me do it I don't like google never have and I prefer a search engine that does keep a record of everything I look up
-
RE: Change Search Engine in Speed dial.Opera for Windows
@sgunhouse but I don't wish to use either Yandex or Google I'd like to use a search provider who doesn't feel the need to keep a record of everywhere I go and everything I search for like DuckDuckGo

How to change the search engine in start pageYou can't change it but you can hide it in settings.
shouldn't you as a moderator on Opera's forums know this sort of thing for a fact

RE: White screen 'flashbang' when opening pagesOpera for Windows
@zauberfritz Yeah I don't seem to think it's just an Opera problem I think it is an Chromium issue as it also has the same white page flash in Vivaldi aswell and I've had it happen in Edge chromium aswell

RE: For the love of God, please make it so that I can choose my own default search engine!Suggestions and feature requests
Pretty much if you like how Opera does things but want to be able to change you default search engine in the speed dial page then perhaps you might like to use Vivaldi as apparently they'll let you do it without a problem

RE: White screen 'flashbang' when opening pagesOpera for Windows
@STRONK all good maybe it's something the Devs need to look at there is a suggestion thread in these forums you could always ask for dark page on wait while a site opens
- Opera for Windows
-
RE: White screen 'flashbang' when opening pagesOpera for Windows
@STRONK which pages do this all of them or only some of them
1: If it's all of them then you either have a slow internet connection or a low end PC
the fix upgrade your PC2: If it's only some of them then its a slow server the page is served from.
So nothing Opera can do about it -
RE: The "frontpage" search engine is always GoogleOpera for Windows
@leocg It can be changed it's just that Opera devs can't be arsed doing it or making an option to allow us to do it
